Enefit donate 28 electric car charging stations to Ukraine
Energy company AS Enefit will donate 28 charging stations to Ukraine to help strengthen the war-torn country's energy infrastructure. The delivery of the charging equipment to Ukraine will be coordinated by the internationally recognized organization AVERE Ukraine.
"Although humanitarian and military aid is currently the most important support for Ukraine, we must not forget its badly damaged energy infrastructure. We have already provided assistance to Ukrainians to restore power plants destroyed by the war, both by bringing in our own specialists and by providing equipment. This time, we will help strengthen the public electric car charging network, which is essential for Ukrainians to maintain their mobility despite the emergency situation," says Daniels Treņins, Head of Enefit's E-mobility Division.
Twenty-eight ABB Terra 51 (50 kW) models will be delivered to Ukraine. These are better known in Estonia as ELMO charging stations and have played an important role in the development of electric transport in our northern neighbour. These fast charging stations are in good technical condition and fully operational.
The Enefit charging network is the largest electric vehicle charging network in the Baltics. There are 67 chargers (124 connection points) available in Latvia, 241 chargers (482 connection points) in Estonia, 226 chargers (456 connection points) in Lithuania, and 67 chargers (134 connection points). In total, by the end of 2025, Enefit Group companies in the Baltics and Poland plan to build more than 1,400 public charging stations (approximately 2,800 connection points).
